Two Stylish Sauvignon Blancs!

Lovers of Sauvignon Blanc will find plenty to enjoy in these cracking wines from one of our favourite growers in Bordeaux.

This lovely vineyard is situated in the gentle rolling hills of the pretty Entre-Deux-Mers region of Bordeaux, surrounded by copses of mature trees.

Fabien Vincent has used his New Zealand experience to produce a couple of ultramodern juicy Sauvignon Blancs, with delicious gooseberry flavours which are enhanced by the judicious addition of Semillon and Sauvignon Gris, filling out the middle palate.  These are thoroughly modern Sauvignons, which leap out of the glass and matches many New Zealand wines, costing much more.

Both wines deliver much more quality than their prices suggest.  Some other importers in the UK have caught up with us and discovered Lamothe-Vincent, but not surprisingly they have recognised this and these wines will cost you much more from other sources!

We have put together a mixed case of six bottles each of these two delicious wines -

Château Lamothe-Vincent Sauvignon Blanc 2007                                                                                           £5.25 AC Bordeaux sec                                                                                                                                                           This is now made from 85% Sauvignon Blanc and 15% Semillon.  The carefully controlled cold fermentation results in wonderful  leafy, gooseberry aromas, it is full of gooseberry and peach fruit on the palate with crisp, apple, minerally acidity, and a long aromatic finish.  Perfect everyday summer drinking!

Château Lamothe-Vincent Heritage Blanc 2007                                                                                                  £6.50 AC Bordeaux sec

Fabien has developed another richer style of Sauvignon with this wine.  It is made from 75% Sauvignon Blanc and 25% of the rarer Sauvignon Gris, and part of the wine is barrel-fermented.  It has a lovely honeyed nose with hints of brioche, while on the palate it is full of more tropical fruit flavours - guava, mango and pineapple. This has some of the complexity of a white Graves and Decanter magazine gave it great write-up up in August 2008, recommending it as great value at it's shop price of £9!

Mixed Case Price : £70.50
